Security, horticulture and cleaning
The Department of Public Works, through QBuild, provides a range of building facilities management services to the Queensland Government.
These services include:
Contract Management Services - provided to clients statewide in the area of implementing service contracts, ongoing performance management of contracts and consultancy services for cleaning, horticultural services, waste management, pest control and hygiene services.
In-house Horticultural Services - provided directly to clients in Brisbane and Townsville through the use of in-house employees. Professional advice is provided to Government facility owners on indoor and outdoor horticultural investments, landscaping and plant hire. QBuild also provides expert advice on health and safety issues, climate and soil conditions, as well as plant selection and work practices.
Cleaning Services - provided by QBuild for facilities where there is a high requirement for confidentiality and sensitivity. QBuild also manages cleaning contracts for less sensitive facilities and provides expert advice on workplace health and safety issues and materials and equipment.
State Government Security Services - provided by QBuild to government departments and clients are recognised throughout Queensland as being reliable, efficient and expert. Services include consulting for all forms of electronic security installations, mobile security patrols, protective security, building services coordination, mail scanning and identification cards. QBuild State Government Security Services has a strong investment in training and state of the art technology to ensure that quality reliable services are provided.
