Strategic Projects
Overview
Public Works' Strategic Projects area acts as Project Director for assigned capital works projects, and provides objective technical advice and assistance to clients throughout the initiation, evaluation, and delivery phases of significant individual building and property projects.
Services
- Independent advice - the provision of informed independent technical advice with a whole-of-government perspective.
- Assessment and review -the provision of technical, strategic, and risk minimisation evaluations and analysis of private and/or public sector initiated major capital works and infrastructure projects.
- Facilitation - the provision of professional assistance in the initiation and validation of projects, and option and feasibility studies.
- Delivery - the management and delivery of major whole-of-government or community benefit property and built infrastructure projects.
- Innovation - the development, adaptation, and implementation of alternative forms of contract and procurement methods, which satisfy the objectives of both the government and the property and building industries.
