Queensland Government Architect
Philip Follent was appointed to the role of Queensland Government Architect in 2008.
As Queensland Government Architect, Philip provides high-level advice to the Queensland Government on contemporary design and heritage issues.
His role includes supporting innovative designs for government buildings and encouraging opportunities for regional architects and the further development of regional design.
Philip has a rich history in the field of architecture. In 1989 he was one of the youngest architects to be elevated to the position of Fellow of the profession’s peak body, the Royal Australian Institute of Architects (RAIA).
In 2007 the RAIA awarded him Life Fellowship in further recognition of his exceptional contribution to architecture.
